Krieghoff DTL 2020 | Terms & Conditions

Shoot Off Rules

All Shoot off targets to be CPSA rules DTL targets at the same angle as in the competition.  Ties to be decided by moving to a greater distance from the trap.

Shoot off Rules - Friday LuckY Numbers

All competitors will shoot a minimum a line of 15 targets at normal DTL distance, 16 yards. Those tied after 15 targets will shoot another 15 targets. At the end of 30 targets shooters still tied will be moved to the shoot off layout. It may be that some shoot offs will continue on one of the normal DTL layouts. Shoot management will make the determination.

Those shooters moved to the shoot-off layout will shoot 10 targets at normal DTL distance and rules. Those still tied will be moved back to the 20 yard line where they will shoot another 10 targets.

The intention is that two lines will be shot at 20 yards before moving back to 24 yards but if time is short competitors will be moved back after 10 targets.

The same format applies at 20 yards with ties moved back again to 24 yards and finally 27 yards.

In all shoot offs, full use of gun is allowed with normal DTL scoring of 3 and 2.

Shoot management reserve the right to change to single barrel if necessary.

Shoot off Rules - Krieghoff Main Event

Ties for Saturday High Gun and Sunday High Gun will be shot over 25 targets on the shoot-off layout. Competitors will shoot 25 targets and if still tied they will shoot another 25 targets at normal DTL distance, 16 yards. If still tied after 50 targets they will move back to 20 yards. They will shoot a minimum of 25 targets at 20 yards before moving to 24 and then to 27 if required.

The final with Saturday High Gun against Sunday High Gun will follow the same format used to determine the High Gun for each day. They will shoot a round of 25 targets at normal DTL distance. If still tied after 25 targets they will shoot another 25 at normal DTL distance. If possible, the intention is for the two finalists to shoot 100 targets at 16 yards before moving back. This may not be possible in the time allowed for shoot-offs to be concluded but a minimum of 50 targets will be shot at 16 yards before moving back to the 20 yard mark. The competitors will continue to move back until the tie is broken.

All other shoot-off in classes and categories will take place at the same time on the other layouts.

In all shoot offs, full use of gun is allowed with normal DTL scoring of 3 and 2.

Shoot management reserve the right to change to single barrel if necessary.

Booking Your Place

We will book and confirm your place on a first come, first serve basis. This simply means that we book people onto spaces as they come in to us. On the rare occasion that we get multiple bookings for the same place over a weekend, before we can update the booking details online, we will book the person who booked first into the place and we will contact the other booking regarding a similar position to confirm.

We will either send a Secure Payment Link to your email, or we will Phone you to make payment over the phone. Depending on which option you have selected on the Online Booking Form.

ENTRIES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE

Due to the fixed amount of spaces available for the main event, we have seen an incredible demand for the 480 spaces. The main event filled up within the first week of entries opening which is unprecedented. We have a running waiting list for those who wish to shoot and have booked in too late. We have taken the decision that entries are no longer transferable once they have been confirmed. This is purely to avoid the situation in the future where people book on to the shoot with no intention of coming, then selling their space on to a fellow shooter. Whereas in the fairness of our booking procedure, we would be offering the cancelled space to the next person on the waiting list, instead of a fresh person who was not on the waiting list. This should also avoid people block booking spaces and holding the spaces. If you are cancelling your space, we will refund your entry fee and offer the space to the next person on the waiting list.

Cancelling Your Booking

Please let us know regarding cancelling your booking as soon as you can before the Krieghoff DTL. Cancellations can be made anytime before the Thursday 21st May (Event 1) via us at Alan Rhone Events. Call us on 01978 66 00 01 or email us at events@alanrhone.com to confirm your cancellation.

Cancellations made within 4 weeks before the event will be subject to a £25.00 admin charge. Failing to attend the shoot without notification to ourselves will be subject no refund for cancellation. A refund for the remainder will be made via the original means of payment.

Prize Giving Policies for 2020

All prize winners down to 3rd in each Class or Category are required to be present at prize giving. If you win and are not present you forfeit your prize. This was always the rule at the Krieghoff DTL since the first shoot in 1999. In recent years we have relaxed the rule but this has resulted in empty podium places. We wish to encourage additional sponsors to the event but this is hard to do when winners of those sponsored prizes do not show up for prize giving. The sponsor wants publicity from their sponsorship and it is simple courtesy to be there to collect your prize in person.

Categories and Policies Introduced in 2018

In the same way, a Lady Colt, Junior, Veteran or Super Veteran Category winner is still eligible for Class Winner prize, Overall High Gun and HOA prize in addition to their Category prize. The Overall Winner and Overall Runner-Up are not eligible for the Class Prizes, but are still eligible for the Category Prizes.

At Mid-Wales Shooting Centre

Please visit the Club House to Sign In and Register for each event on the day. Try to allow enough time for registration before your start your event, otherwise you will hold up your fellow squad shooters. Failing to attend a squad start may result in you missing that particular line.

We will require you to fill in a contact form which will only take a couple of minutes to complete. This will give us the vital information to ensure all prize payments are paid out as soon as possible. Failure to complete a form will result in a delay in prize payment until prize money is claimed.
